ChargeSwap

ChargeSwap is a mobile + web marketplace that lets EV charger owners (homeowners, small businesses, apartments) rent out their Level 2 chargers to nearby drivers. Hosts set availability windows, pricing, access instructions, and optional add-ons like “coffee/waiting area” or “after-hours access.” Drivers search by plug type, speed, reliability score, and distance, then reserve and pay in-app. The app focuses on the messy middle: chargers that exist but aren’t on major networks, or are frequently blocked, broken, or restricted. It includes basic verification (photo + location checks), dispute handling, and a simple reliability rating that penalizes cancellations and no-shows. It’s not trying to replace public fast-charging networks; it’s a practical stopgap for neighborhoods, workplaces, and dense cities where charging access is uneven. Monetization: take-rate per session plus optional host subscription for higher visibility and automated access tools.
