ChargeSwap

ChargeSwap is a web + mobile marketplace that lets homeowners, small businesses, and property managers rent out private EV chargers (driveways, reserved parking spots, small lots) to nearby drivers during specific hours. Hosts set availability, pricing, access rules, and whether they provide a cable or require BYOC. Drivers search by connector type, power level, reliability score, and “guaranteed access” options. The app handles identity verification, deposits, payments, and basic dispute resolution (no-shows, overstays, blocked spots). It also supports simple access workflows: QR check-in, photo proof of arrival, and optional smart-lock/charger integrations where available. This is not a magic solution to public charging shortages, but it can meaningfully increase utilization of existing chargers in dense neighborhoods and commuter corridors where public infrastructure lags.
