CheckInChain

CheckInChain is a mobile + web app that helps older adults complete quick, scheduled “I’m okay” check-ins while giving family members reliable visibility without constant calling. The elder taps one button (or answers an automated phone call) to confirm they’re fine; missed check-ins trigger an escalation ladder: push notification to family, then SMS, then optional call to a neighbor or paid responder. The app keeps an auditable timeline of check-ins and follow-ups so families can coordinate without drama or duplicated effort. It’s not a medical device and won’t pretend to detect emergencies; it focuses on the real-world problem: people forget, phones die, and families panic. An AI layer can reduce false alarms by spotting patterns (e.g., consistent late check-ins) and suggesting schedule adjustments, but the core value works without AI.
