ChemoClear

ChemoClear is a web app with a lightweight mobile companion that performs independent, protocol-based verification of chemotherapy orders before administration. It ingests regimen templates (NCCN-style protocols, local order sets), patient parameters (BSA, renal/hepatic labs, weight changes), and planned supportive meds, then flags mismatches: dose caps, cycle day errors, missing premeds, contraindicated lab values, duplicate therapies, and timing conflicts (e.g., growth factor windows). It generates a concise “verify sheet” that pharmacists and nurses can sign off, with an audit trail for compliance. This is not a replacement for the EHR; it’s a safety layer that integrates via HL7/FHIR where possible and supports manual entry when integration is blocked. Realistically, the hardest part is integration and getting hospitals to change workflow, so the MVP targets outpatient infusion centers and oncology pharmacies that already run double-check processes but lack standardization.
