ChordCoach is a mobile + web AI-assisted ear-training app that teaches practical musicianship using real songs, not sterile drills. Users import a Spotify/YouTube link or upload audio, and the app generates progressive exercises: identify chord quality, bass movement, cadences, and melody intervals in context. It adapts difficulty based on mistakes and time-to-answer, then schedules micro-reviews to lock in recognition. A “teacher mode” lets instructors assign a song, set focus areas (ii-V-I, secondary dominants, modal interchange), and review student attempts with a simple performance report. The MVP should avoid overpromising perfect transcription; it focuses on guided listening with partial hints, multiple-choice scaffolding, and short looped segments.
