ChoreTales

ChoreTales is a mobile app that helps parents turn everyday tasks (brushing teeth, cleaning up, homework start) into 2–5 minute interactive “micro-stories” kids can act out while they do the chore. Parents pick a chore, the child chooses a character and theme (space, dinosaurs, fairies), and the app plays a simple narrated adventure with timed prompts that match the task steps. It’s not trying to replace parenting or be a full learning platform; it’s a lightweight tool to reduce daily friction. The app includes a parent setup with routines, a kid mode with big buttons, and optional rewards that are non-monetary (badges, story chapters) to avoid constant bribery. It also supports offline playback for common routines so it still works in bathrooms and kitchens with spotty Wi‑Fi.
