CiteHunt
CiteHunt is a web app (with a lightweight browser extension) for people who constantly chase sources: researchers, journalists, analysts, and students. Paste a paragraph, quote, or a list of citations/URLs, and it retrieves the most relevant source passages and highlights the exact span that supports (or contradicts) the claim. It also flags “citation rot” (dead links, moved PDFs), detects when a citation doesn’t actually back the statement, and produces a clean evidence pack: quoted excerpts with page/section anchors and exportable links for reports. This is an AI + traditional retrieval app: classic indexing and metadata extraction for speed and reliability, plus AI for claim-to-evidence matching and contradiction detection. It’s not magic—expect best results on well-structured PDFs, academic papers, and reputable web pages—but it can save hours of manual skimming per assignment or article.
