CiteLedger
CiteLedger is a web app (with a lightweight GitHub/GitLab integration) that helps open-science teams prove and quantify reuse of their datasets, code, and protocols. It continuously monitors public signals—DOIs, Zenodo releases, GitHub dependency graphs, package registries, and citation indexes—to build a verified “reuse ledger” for each research output. The goal isn’t another profile page; it’s a practical reporting tool for grants, lab reviews, and institutional open-science KPIs. Users can claim outputs, link identifiers (DOI, ORCID, ROR), and generate clean, audit-friendly reports showing downstream citations, forks, package imports, and derivative datasets. An AI layer helps resolve messy metadata (duplicate titles, author name variants) and suggests likely matches, but the system keeps a human-verifiable trail. Realistically, it wins by saving admins and PIs hours of manual tracking and by making impact legible beyond paper citations.
