CiteProof
CiteProof is a web app (with optional browser extension) that helps research groups and institutions verify, reconcile, and explain their impact metrics across common sources (e.g., Crossref, OpenAlex, ORCID, Google Scholar exports). Instead of chasing a single “true” h-index, it creates an auditable trail: which records were matched, which were duplicates, which citations look suspicious, and which outputs are missing identifiers. The app generates a clean, exportable “impact packet” for grant reports, promotion dossiers, and departmental reviews, including confidence scores and a change log. It also flags likely issues like author name collisions, venue misattributions, and sudden citation spikes that could trigger scrutiny. This is not a magic dashboard; it’s a practical data hygiene tool that reduces embarrassing errors and saves admin time.
