CiteSentry

CiteSentry is a web app (with optional desktop add-in) that automatically validates legal citations and quoted passages inside draft orders, memos, and bench notes. Judges and clerks paste text or upload a document, and the system flags: incorrect citation format, missing pincites, overruled/abrogated authorities, quote mismatches, and unsupported propositions. It generates a clean “citation audit” report that can be attached to internal chambers review, with links to the source authority in the court’s subscribed research platforms. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules handle citation formatting and court-specific style guides, while AI helps detect proposition support and quote fidelity. The product is intentionally narrow—quality control for judicial writing—because broad “AI legal research” is crowded and risky. It saves time, reduces embarrassing errors, and improves defensibility on appeal.
