CivicCanvas

CivicCanvas is a mobile + web app for cities, arts nonprofits, and property owners to manage public art like real infrastructure. Each artwork gets a public page (artist bio, intent, materials, accessibility notes) plus a private maintenance log (condition checks, photos, repair history, warranties, vendor contacts). The app generates a durable QR/NFC label ID for on-site signage so the public can learn the story instantly, while staff can scan to file a condition report in under a minute. It also supports lightweight workflows: assign tasks to conservators, schedule inspections, and track budgets by piece. This is not a “discover cool murals” app; it’s an operations tool that happens to have a public-facing layer. An AI assist can summarize long commission documents into plain-language labels and draft maintenance checklists, but the core value is structured records and accountability.
