CivicCourier

CivicCourier is a mobile + web app that helps rural residents request, track, and complete government and essential-service tasks without repeated long trips to town. Users pick a task (ID renewal pickup/drop-off, document notarization scheduling, clinic paperwork, permit submissions, library holds, device repair drop-off), upload required photos, and get a clear checklist of what’s needed. The app then matches the request with vetted “couriers” (existing local delivery drivers, community org staff, or part-time contractors) who can physically move paperwork/items between rural homes and urban service centers. It includes status tracking, appointment coordination, and simple in-app payments or subsidy codes from nonprofits/municipalities. This is not glamorous: it’s logistics, compliance, and trust. But it directly reduces wasted travel time, missed work, and service exclusion caused by distance and limited transport.
