CivicDrills

CivicDrills is a mobile + web AI-assisted civic education app that teaches practical democracy skills in 3–7 minute “drills.” Instead of long courses, users complete scenario-based micro-lessons: spotting misinformation cues, understanding how a bill becomes law in their state, reading a sample ballot, or evaluating a candidate claim with primary sources. The app adapts difficulty and topics based on what the user gets wrong, then reinforces learning with spaced repetition. A “Local Mode” pulls in election dates, district info, and nonpartisan explanations of what each office actually does (school board, county commission, judges). Teachers and community orgs can assign drill packs and track completion without collecting sensitive personal data. The goal is not to persuade—it's to build competence: how to verify, how to participate, and how to understand consequences of civic choices.
