CivicProof is a mobile + web app that helps people and community organizations document potential civil-rights violations in a way that holds up better under scrutiny. It guides users through incident capture (video, audio, photos, notes) with automatic time/location stamping, chain-of-custody logs, and secure upload to an encrypted vault. A “know your rights” checklist tailors prompts by situation (traffic stop, protest, workplace, housing) so users capture the details lawyers and advocates actually need. The app can generate a shareable incident packet (redacted or full) for attorneys, journalists, or oversight bodies, and it supports witness statements with identity-protection options. This is not a magic justice button—most cases won’t go anywhere—but it increases the odds that credible evidence survives deletion, intimidation, or confusion after the fact.
