CivicQueue

Counties and parishes still run many public-facing services like a walk-in clinic: long lines, unclear requirements, and staff constantly answering the same questions. CivicQueue is a web + mobile app that lets residents book time slots for high-volume services (DMV-style tasks, property tax help, permits intake, records requests, court clerk windows) and complete a pre-check before arriving. Staff get a lightweight admin console to set capacity, service types, and staffing levels, plus a kiosk mode for walk-ins. The app generates a QR check-in, tracks wait times, and automatically messages residents if they’re missing documents. It also produces simple operational reports (no-show rate, peak hours, average service time) so departments can justify staffing changes. This is not glamorous software, but it directly reduces chaos at the counter and improves resident satisfaction with minimal process change.
