CivicQueue

CivicQueue is a mobile + web app that helps voters choose the best time and location to vote by showing live wait times, accessibility notes, and service disruptions at polling places. It blends official data (where available) with privacy-preserving crowd reports and on-the-ground partner inputs (e.g., nonpartisan civic groups). Voters can see estimated time-to-vote, peak-hour forecasts, and alerts like machine outages or curbside voting availability. Election administrators get a lightweight dashboard to spot bottlenecks and push updates (e.g., “extra check-in stations added”). The MVP focuses on a single metro area or county and expands via partnerships. This is not a magic “save democracy” product—adoption and data quality are hard—but reducing uncertainty and wasted time is a concrete, measurable value that can increase turnout and reduce frustration.
