CivicReceipt

CivicReceipt is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that gives residents and advocacy groups a verifiable “receipt trail” for petitions and public feedback submitted to government bodies. Instead of petitions disappearing into inboxes, each submission gets a timestamped record, required response deadlines (configurable by jurisdiction), and a public status page showing: received, routed, under review, responded, or closed. The app supports multiple intake channels (web form, email forwarding, and API) so agencies don’t need to overhaul their systems. For governments, it provides a simple triage queue, internal assignment, and publishable response templates. For citizens, it offers notifications, escalation steps when deadlines are missed, and a clean audit log of updates. This is a traditional app with AI assist for summarizing submissions and drafting response options, but the core value is accountability and workflow, not “AI magic.”
