CivicRoster

CivicRoster is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for government departments that struggle with shift scheduling, overtime control, and compliance documentation. It centralizes rosters for unionized and non-union roles, enforces rules (rest periods, max hours, seniority/rotation), and produces audit-ready reports for payroll and labor relations. The realistic value is not “better calendars”—it’s fewer grievances, fewer payroll corrections, and fewer last-minute staffing gaps that cause service failures. The app integrates with existing timekeeping/payroll systems where possible, but can also run standalone for smaller agencies. It includes an AI assist that flags likely rule violations, predicts coverage risk based on historical call-outs, and drafts supervisor notes for exceptions. Expect slow procurement cycles and heavy security requirements; the product must win by being boringly reliable, configurable, and defensible in audits.
