CivicRoster

CivicRoster is a mobile + web app that helps small community groups actually run events without drowning in spreadsheets and group chats. It centralizes volunteer sign-ups, shift scheduling, reminders, and day-of check-in for cleanups, food drives, neighborhood watches, mutual-aid deliveries, and park projects. Organizers can post an event in minutes, set roles and headcount caps, and automatically fill cancellations from a waitlist. Volunteers get a clean calendar view, one-tap confirmation, and clear instructions (location, supplies, contact). A lightweight AI layer drafts role descriptions, message templates, and post-event thank-yous, and flags likely no-shows based on past behavior so organizers can overbook safely. The app is realistic about constraints: it won’t “fix” civic engagement, but it will reduce operational friction so the same small set of reliable people can do more with less burnout.
