Civicsnap
Civicsnap is a mobile + web app that helps kids (and parents/teachers) practice digital citizenship in the moments that matter: before posting, commenting, or sharing. Kids paste text, upload a screenshot, or draft a message, and the app flags common pitfalls—oversharing personal info, bullying/harassment tone, impulsive replies, plagiarism, and misinformation cues. It then offers short, age-appropriate rewrites and “pause prompts” that teach empathy, consent, and context. For classrooms, Civicsnap includes quick scenario drills (2–3 minutes) and a simple dashboard that shows skill growth without exposing private content. For families, it provides optional weekly summaries and conversation starters instead of surveillance. It’s not a blocker; it’s a coach that builds habits and language kids can actually use online.
