CivicSpare

CivicSpare is a web + mobile app for utilities and public works teams to manage critical spare parts for infrastructure recovery (water, wastewater, power distribution, traffic signals). It creates a “minimum viable spares” list per asset class, tracks on-hand quantities across depots, and flags single-point-of-failure items before storms or planned shutdowns. During incidents, crews can reserve parts, generate pick lists, and log usage in the field so inventory stays accurate. The app also supports mutual-aid sharing by publishing a controlled, time-limited view of available spares to partner agencies, reducing the scramble of phone calls and spreadsheets. This is not glamorous software: it’s operational hygiene that prevents multi-day outages caused by a missing $200 component. Integrations focus on lightweight import/export with existing CMMS/ERP rather than trying to replace them.
