ClaimClarity helps people estimate real out-of-pocket costs for common medical services before they schedule. Users upload an insurance card and select a procedure (e.g., MRI knee, physical therapy visit, basic labs). The app guides them to pull the exact billing codes from provider quotes or past bills, then calculates an estimated patient responsibility based on deductible status, co-insurance, copays, and out-of-network rules. It also stores EOBs and flags common billing issues (duplicate charges, missing adjustments) with plain-English explanations and a call script to use with the insurer or billing office. This is not a magic “save money” button—accuracy depends on getting the right codes and plan details—but it can prevent surprise bills and reduce the time people waste on phone calls.
