ClaimLedger

ClaimLedger is a web app + browser extension that turns online claims into a traceable “receipt trail.” Users highlight a statement in an article, post, or video transcript, then the app auto-extracts the claim, timestamps it, and links it to primary sources (papers, datasets, official reports) and reputable secondary coverage. It also shows how the claim mutates across reposts: wording changes, missing context, and cherry-picked charts. The AI helps summarize sources and flag weak evidence, but the product is built around human-verifiable citations and a simple confidence rubric. Teams can maintain shared ledgers for recurring topics (elections, health, climate, local news) and export a clean citation pack for publishing or internal review. This is not a “truth machine”; it’s a workflow tool to reduce sloppy amplification and make verification faster and auditable.
