ClaimLedger is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that turns messy online assertions into trackable “claims” with evidence trails. Users paste a quote, link, screenshot, or transcript snippet; the app extracts the core claim, identifies checkable sub-claims, and builds a timeline of supporting and contradicting sources. It highlights what’s verifiable vs. opinion, flags missing primary sources, and shows when articles were edited or quietly updated. For teams, it provides shared workspaces, standardized verdict labels (e.g., Supported/Unclear/False), and exportable audit logs for publishing or compliance. This is an AI + traditional app: AI accelerates claim parsing and source triage, while humans remain in control of final verdicts. The goal is not “truth by chatbot,” but a repeatable workflow that makes fact-checking faster, more transparent, and harder to game.
