ClaspCheck is a mobile + web app that helps buyers and small sellers reduce the risk of fakes, undisclosed repairs, and swapped stones in pre-owned and vintage jewelry. Users create a “Condition Passport” by capturing guided photos and short videos (prongs, hallmarks, clasps, settings, wear points) and uploading any paperwork. The app produces a standardized listing-grade report with red-flag checks, condition notes, and a shareable link for marketplaces, DMs, or in-store consignment. It also supports optional third-party verification: users can book a local jeweler/appraiser from a vetted network for an in-person inspection, with results appended to the passport. This is not magic authentication; it’s practical risk reduction and documentation that makes transactions smoother, disputes rarer, and resale value clearer.
