ClauseCheck
ClauseCheck is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps journalists, advocates, and civic-minded residents quickly evaluate whether a proposed law, school policy, or government memo risks violating church–state separation principles. Users paste text or upload PDFs, then the app highlights potentially problematic clauses (e.g., preferential treatment, compelled participation, religious tests), links them to relevant legal standards and precedent summaries, and generates a plain-language risk brief. It also maintains a searchable library of past cases and policy examples, plus state-by-state notes and common pitfalls for schools, councils, and agencies. This is not a “win your lawsuit” tool; it’s a triage and education product that reduces research time and improves the quality of public comment. The goal is faster, clearer scrutiny—without requiring users to be constitutional law experts.
