ClauseClerk is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small and mid-sized organizations translate messy regulatory text into practical, auditable tasks. Users pick a framework (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, state privacy laws) or paste a regulator letter, then the app generates a plain-language obligation list, assigns owners, and tracks evidence requests. It’s not a magic “auto-compliance” tool—humans still review and approve mappings—but it removes the most time-wasting part: reading, summarizing, and turning clauses into work items. The MVP focuses on one painful workflow: preparing for an audit or responding to a compliance inquiry with a clear task plan and an evidence packet. It includes versioned obligation lists, due dates, reminders, and an exportable “audit-ready” binder. The AI is used for drafting and classification, with strict review gates and traceability back to source text.
