ClauseClimate

ClauseClimate is a web app (with optional desktop add-in) that helps governments, NGOs, and corporate policy teams write and audit climate-policy language that is actually enforceable. You paste a draft bill, regulation, procurement spec, or internal policy, and the app flags vague targets, missing definitions, weak enforcement mechanisms, and misaligned timelines. It then suggests clause-level rewrites using a library of proven patterns (MRV requirements, penalties, reporting cadence, scope boundaries, and exemptions). It also generates a one-page “enforceability brief” summarizing what can be measured, who is accountable, and what happens if targets are missed. This is an AI-assisted product, but it’s grounded in a curated clause database and jurisdiction-aware templates to avoid hallucinated legal text. It won’t replace lawyers or policy staff; it reduces iteration cycles and catches common loopholes early.
