ClauseLedger

ClauseLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for reinsurers, brokers, and cedents to manage treaty and facultative contract clauses as structured data instead of scattered PDFs and email threads. It ingests slips, wordings, endorsements, and addenda, then builds a clause register: notice periods, claims cooperation requirements, reporting schedules, exclusions, commutations, audit rights, and special conditions. Users get a single source of truth with ownership, evidence links, and automated reminders for time-sensitive obligations (e.g., loss notifications, bordereaux due dates). The app doesn’t pretend to “solve underwriting”; it focuses on operational risk: missed deadlines, inconsistent wording, and poor audit trails. It supports versioning, clause comparisons across years/markets, and exportable compliance packs for internal audit and regulators. AI is used for extraction and clause classification, but every item is reviewable and traceable back to the source document.
