ClauseMeter is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps brokers, MGAs, and corporate risk teams validate whether a parametric insurance product is truly fit-for-purpose before they bind it. Users upload policy wording, term sheets, and index methodology docs, then map each clause to a structured checklist: trigger definition, data source, calculation window, exclusions, dispute process, and payout timing. The app flags common failure points like ambiguous geofences, mismatched timestamps, unverifiable data feeds, and hidden basis-risk traps. It also generates a plain-English “Trigger & Payout Summary” that can be shared with insureds and internal legal/compliance. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI accelerates extraction and comparison, but outputs are grounded in citations to the original documents. Realistically, it won’t replace lawyers; it reduces review time and prevents obvious mistakes.
