ClauseProof is a web app (with optional Outlook/Gmail add-ins) that reviews incoming contracts and flags practical risk issues in plain English. Users upload a PDF/DOCX or forward an email attachment; the app extracts key terms (indemnity, limitation of liability, auto-renewal, data processing, governing law, assignment, termination) and produces a one-page “risk brief” with suggested fallback language and a short negotiation checklist. It’s an AI app combined with traditional rules: AI summarizes and proposes edits, while deterministic checks enforce firm-approved playbook rules and redlines. The product is intentionally narrow: it’s not a full CLM replacement and won’t pretend to be. It focuses on speed for small legal teams and non-legal operators who need a reliable first pass, audit trail, and consistent playbook enforcement without paying enterprise CLM prices.
