ClauseTrail is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that turns policies and procedures into a traceable system of record. It ingests your existing docs (Word, PDF, Google Docs export), breaks them into numbered clauses, and tracks every change with a clear “who changed what, why, and when” audit trail. It then links clauses to evidence: training attestations, tickets, incident reports, and control tests—so audits aren’t a scavenger hunt. An AI layer suggests clause-level diffs, flags conflicting language across documents, and drafts change summaries, but approvals stay human. The MVP focuses on fast onboarding, clause versioning, and evidence linking—because most orgs already have policies; they just can’t maintain them reliably. This is not a policy authoring toy; it’s a maintenance and proof engine that reduces time wasted during audits and internal reviews.
