ClearanceIQ is a mobile + web app that tracks true outlet and clearance prices across major retailers and brands, then alerts you when an item hits a historically low price at your size/color. It focuses on the messy reality of clearance: limited inventory, constant SKU changes, and misleading “was” prices. Users can scan a barcode in-store or paste a product link to see price history, nearby store availability (when possible), and the likelihood of further markdowns based on past cycles. The app also flags common tricks like perpetual discounts and inflated MSRPs by comparing against observed selling prices. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for tracking, alerts, and lists; AI for product matching across messy outlet listings and for detecting deceptive pricing patterns. Monetization is affiliate revenue plus a paid tier for advanced alerts and bulk tracking.
