ClearChain

ClearChain is a web + desktop app that brings Git-style version control to screenwriting without forcing writers to learn Git. It imports/export Final Draft (.fdx) and Fountain, then tracks changes at the scene, beat, and dialogue level with human-readable diffs. Producers and coordinators can lock pages, generate colored revision sets, and instantly see what changed between drafts (not just “Draft 3 vs Draft 4,” but “which lines changed on pages 22–28”). It also creates clean audit trails for notes: who requested the change, who approved it, and when it landed. This is not a full writing replacement; it’s a workflow layer that sits on top of existing tools and reduces chaos in writer rooms and indie productions. Optional AI helps summarize diffs and produce change logs, but the core value works without AI.
