ClearChain

ClearChain is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps indie filmmakers and small studios manage rights clearance for everything that ends up in a cut: music cues, stock footage, archival photos, logos, artwork, location releases, and talent agreements. You upload or forward contracts, invoices, emails, and license PDFs into a project inbox; the app extracts key terms (usage, territory, term, media, exclusivity, attribution, revocation clauses) and ties them to specific timestamps or assets. It then generates a “distribution-ready” clearance packet and flags conflicts like missing signatures, expired terms, festival-only licenses, or music not cleared for streaming/AVOD. It’s not legal advice—just a brutally practical system to avoid takedowns, distributor rejections, and last-minute re-edits. The MVP focuses on clarity and auditability, not fancy dashboards.
