ClearChain

ClearChain is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for documentary teams to manage release forms, music licenses, archival permissions, and chain-of-title evidence in one place. It turns the most failure-prone part of doc production—legal clearance—into a structured workflow: collect signatures, attach ID, link each release to timecoded footage, and generate delivery-ready clearance reports for distributors and festivals. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps auto-extract key terms from uploaded licenses (territory, term, media, exclusivity), flags missing fields, and warns when footage appears to include faces/logos without a matching release. Be realistic: it won’t replace lawyers, and it won’t catch everything. But it will drastically reduce the “we can’t deliver” scramble, prevent expensive re-edits, and make producers look organized to buyers.
