ClearEAS

ClearEAS is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps broadcast and cable operations teams reduce on-air mistakes during emergency alert handling. It ingests CAP/EAS messages from your existing receiver logs or CAP feed, normalizes them, and runs a rules-based + AI-assisted checklist: location match, event code sanity, expiration timing, language requirements, and whether the alert conflicts with station policy. It then generates a simple “air/hold/escalate” recommendation with an audit trail and one-click incident notes. The goal isn’t to replace your EAS gear (it can’t), but to prevent preventable human errors: wrong county, stale alerts, duplicate relays, or missed required tests. It also produces compliance-ready reports and shift handoff summaries so engineering and master control aren’t chasing screenshots at 2 a.m. Expect a conservative product: reliability and traceability over flashy automation.
