ClearingClock
ClearingClock is a web app (with optional desktop-friendly views) that helps capacity market participants quantify clearing and penalty risk before submitting offers. It ingests public auction parameters (demand curves, qualification rules, historical clearing prices, derate factors) and lets users build scenario trees for key uncertainties: load forecast shifts, generator outages, policy changes, and competitor behavior bands. The app outputs probability-weighted clearing price ranges, expected revenues, and downside exposure from non-performance penalties, with a clear audit trail of assumptions for internal review. It also includes a calendar of deadlines, rule-change alerts, and a simple “bid sanity check” that flags offers likely to be rejected on qualification or mitigation grounds. This is not a magic black box; it’s a structured decision tool that makes risk explicit and defensible.
