ClearTerms

ClearTerms is a mobile + web app that helps people explicitly define and revisit relationship boundaries and consent in a structured, low-drama way. Users choose a relationship type (dating, roommates, coworkers, open relationship, caregiving) and complete short “boundary cards” covering topics like physical touch, privacy, money, communication frequency, conflict rules, and sexual consent preferences. The app turns answers into a shared agreement with version history, check-in reminders, and a simple “pause/renegotiate” button for when circumstances change. It also includes a private journal for each person and a neutral “issue template” to raise sensitive topics without escalating. This is not a legal contract and won’t magically fix unhealthy relationships; it’s a practical tool to reduce ambiguity and misaligned expectations. An optional AI assistant helps users phrase boundaries clearly and non-accusatorily, but users approve everything before sharing.
