ClickTrace

ClickTrace is a web app (with a lightweight JS snippet) that turns raw interaction telemetry into actionable HCI insights. Instead of full session recordings, it captures privacy-preserving “micro-friction” signals: hesitation time before clicks, rage-click clusters, dead-clicks, repeated backtracks, form correction loops, and scroll-to-abandon patterns. It then overlays these signals on your UI as heatmaps and annotated DOM elements, so teams can pinpoint confusing labels, misleading affordances, or broken hit targets. An AI layer summarizes the top friction sources, proposes likely causes (e.g., contrast, copy ambiguity, layout shift), and suggests experiments with expected impact. It’s designed for product teams that want faster UX diagnosis than surveys, but don’t want the legal and trust baggage of video replays. Integrations export issues directly into Jira/Linear with reproducible steps and affected segments.
