ClipGuard
ClipGuard is a mobile + web app that lets parents build a controlled “mini streaming service” for their kids without trusting YouTube’s recommendations. Parents choose approved channels, creators, and even specific playlists; the app then fetches new uploads and presents them in a clean, kid-first interface with no comments, no autoplay rabbit holes, and no algorithmic suggestions. It also includes a “why this video” label, time-of-day limits, and a weekly digest showing what was watched and what was blocked. For creators, ClipGuard offers an opt-in submission portal and lightweight compliance checks (title/thumbnail language, age rating, ad markers). This is not trying to beat YouTube on content volume—it’s trying to beat it on control and predictability. Monetization is a subscription for parents plus optional school/family plans.
