ClipLedger

ClipLedger is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) for streaming creators and small studios to manage short-form and long-form video assets with rights, releases, and monetization metadata attached to each clip. It solves the unglamorous but expensive problem: losing track of who appears in footage, what music was used, what licenses apply, and where each version was published. Users import videos from local drives or cloud storage, then tag clips with talent releases, music licenses, brand approvals, expiry dates, and platform-specific deliverables. The app generates a “publish-ready” checklist and exports a rights packet for sponsors, distributors, or platforms. It also flags risk: missing releases, license conflicts, or content that’s about to expire. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with auto-detecting faces/logos, transcribing, and suggesting required rights fields, but humans stay in control.
