ClipNest
ClipNest is a mobile + web app that lets parents build a safe, age-appropriate video feed for kids without relying on unpredictable recommendation algorithms. Parents create “Nests” (collections) by importing links from YouTube, Vimeo, or direct MP4 sources, then ClipNest locks playback to only those approved items. It includes simple age profiles, time limits, and an offline queue for trips. The kid mode UI is intentionally boring: big buttons, no search, no comments, no autoplay beyond the approved list. For parents, the app provides a weekly viewing report and a one-tap “review later” inbox when kids request new videos. This is not trying to replace YouTube; it’s a safety wrapper that makes existing content usable for families who are tired of accidental exposure to junk, scary clips, or manipulative content loops.
