ClipRights
ClipRights is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps streamers and creators legally use short video snippets by automating permission requests, approvals, and proof-of-license. Creators paste a source URL (YouTube/TikTok/Instagram/Vimeo), select intended use (reaction, compilation, commentary), clip length, and monetization status. The system generates a standardized request to the original rights-holder, tracks responses, and issues a simple license receipt (timestamped, signed, and stored) when approved. For rights-holders, it provides a lightweight inbox to approve/deny, set default rules (e.g., “up to 15s allowed with attribution”), and optionally charge micro-licenses. It also includes a “dispute kit” export: all communications, license terms, and clip metadata packaged for platform appeals. This is not a magic legal shield; it’s a workflow tool that reduces takedown risk and saves time.
