ClipRights is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps podcasters, streamers, and small media teams clear rights for short audio/video clips before publishing. Users upload a clip or paste a source link, then the app identifies likely copyrighted material, estimates risk, and generates a practical clearance checklist: who to contact, what license is needed, and a templated outreach email. It tracks requests, responses, fees, and stores signed permissions in a “release vault” tied to each episode/post. It also flags platform-specific pitfalls (YouTube Content ID, TikTok audio, broadcaster footage) and suggests safer alternatives (public domain, Creative Commons, stock libraries). This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists identification, matching, and drafting, but the workflow is built around human verification because rights decisions can’t be fully automated.
