ClipScout

ClipScout is a mobile + web AI app for discovering movies and series through short, spoiler-controlled “vibe clips” pulled from trailers, officially licensed promos, and user-submitted excerpts that are auto-screened for spoilers. Instead of endless scrolling through catalogs, you swipe through 10–20 second moments tagged by mood (tense, cozy, clever, dark comedy), pacing, and themes. The app learns your taste from what you replay, skip, or save, then builds a nightly watchlist across your streaming services. A “Tonight Mode” narrows choices to your available time (25, 45, 90 minutes) and who you’re watching with. It’s realistic: content licensing is hard, so the MVP focuses on trailers/promos + fair-use user clips where allowed, with aggressive moderation and takedown tooling. Monetization: affiliate deep links, premium filters, and partner placements.
