CloseBooks

CloseBooks is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) for finance teams to run a controlled month-end close: tasks, owners, dependencies, evidence, approvals, and audit trails in one place. It connects to your ERP (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online) and pulls a lightweight checklist template based on your chart of accounts and recurring journals. An AI assistant flags anomalies (missing reconciliations, unusual variances, late approvals), drafts variance commentary, and suggests next steps, but never posts entries automatically. The product is intentionally narrow: it does not try to replace the ERP, budgeting, or consolidation tools. It focuses on making the close predictable, faster, and auditable—especially for teams that grew beyond “one controller and a shared drive.” Expect a compliance-friendly design: role-based access, immutable evidence logs, and exportable close packages for auditors.
