CloudEvict

CloudEvict is a web app (with optional CLI) that continuously detects idle, oversized, and abandoned virtual machines across AWS, Azure, and GCP, then guides teams to shut them down safely. It connects via read-only cloud APIs, analyzes CPU/memory/network/disk IOPS plus uptime and scheduling patterns, and flags candidates with a confidence score and estimated monthly savings. For safety, it supports owner discovery (tags, CMDB, Git repos, IAM activity), approval workflows, and “quarantine” actions like stop/suspend before delete. It also generates auto-schedules for dev/test fleets (nights/weekends) and enforces guardrails via policy-as-code. This is not a magic “AI will fix your cloud bill” product: it’s a pragmatic, opinionated cleanup tool that reduces waste with clear evidence, reversible actions, and audit trails. The MVP should focus on one cloud first and do it extremely well.
