CloudSentry

CloudSentry is a web app (with optional CLI) that acts as a pre-deploy security gate for cloud infrastructure changes. It plugs into GitHub/GitLab CI and evaluates Terraform/CloudFormation/Kubernetes manifests against your organization’s security rules (least privilege, public exposure, encryption, logging, data egress). Instead of generic “policy-as-code” dashboards, it focuses on fast, developer-friendly feedback: clear diffs, exact offending lines, and one-click suggested remediations. It also tracks exceptions with expiry dates and approvals, so teams can ship while maintaining accountability. The MVP targets AWS first, then expands to Azure/GCP. This is a combination traditional + AI app: deterministic checks for correctness, plus AI to explain findings and propose safe patches. Realistically, it won’t replace full CSPM platforms; it wins by preventing issues earlier in the pipeline where fixes are cheapest.
