ClutterCut

ClutterCut is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps people spend less by forcing a realistic “friction check” before buying. It connects to your bank/credit cards and detects discretionary purchases, then prompts a quick post-purchase reflection: where will it live, what will be removed, how many hours did you work for it, and how often will you use it. Over time, it builds a personal “regret map” by merchant/category and shows which buys consistently disappoint you. The app also supports a minimalist rule set (caps per category, cooling-off timers, and a one-photo “inventory” of your most cluttered areas) to tie spending to physical space. This isn’t a budgeting app; it’s a behavior-change tool that makes impulse spending feel inconvenient and visible. Expect some users to hate the prompts—that’s the point.
